James Zipfel

…is a violinist and mandolinist at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee that specializes in jazz, bluegrass, celtic, and classical styles, and he credits the sounds of Billy Contreras, Jean-Luc Ponty, Stephane Grappelli, Vassar Clements, and Miles Davis as major musical influences. He has worked extensively as a private teacher, live performer, session musician, music video performer, and as a string contractor in both Nashville and St. Louis, and he has most notably worked with Josh Groban, Cody Fry, Tommee Profitt, and Bowling Green’s Symphony Orchestra. He is currently a live performer, session musician, and part-time teacher while he continues his studies in Commercial Music and Music Business.
